Exhibition: Mondi lontani
Since the 1950s, for more than sixty years, explorer brothers Angelo and Alfredo Castiglioni have conducted research on the African continent and in Amazonia, collecting unique ethnological and archaeological evidence on site. This has included objects, photos, films, rituals, customs and traditions that would otherwise have been lost forever, amid dangers, disease, wars and uncertainties. Alfredo and Angelo Castiglioni invite us to meet these "Mondi Lontani" (distant worlds) in the exhibition set up in the historic building Palazzo Mirabello in Varese until 1 June 2025.
Trenord and the Municipality of Varese are offering special discounts for Trenord customers who present their train ticket to Varese at the exhibition ticket office in Palazzo Mirabello (Piazza della Motta 4, Varese).
Rates
- Full price ticket (over 18 years): 3€ instead of 5€

USEFUL INFORMATION
PURCHASE
The ticket can be purchased from all Trenord sales channels: on the Trenord.it website, at the ticket office, at self-service machines or from resellers. The ticket must be validated (with the exception of online tickets) and is valid for 6 hours starting from the day and time indicated during purchase.
USE
The ticket can be used by a single person, adult or child, depending on the type of ticket purchased.
CHANGES
The travel date of the ticket purchased online can be changed up to 3 times by accessing the personal area of the Trenord.it website. If the ticket was not purchased online, in order to change the travel date, you must transform your paper ticket into digital one via the personal area of the Trenord.it website.
INSPECTIONS
If you hold a ticket purchased online, when requested simply show the electronic ticket to Trenord staff . However, if you purchased the single ticket to Varese in physical form (rechargeable COP format), the receipt attached to it, indicating the destination, must be kept in order to receive the gift at the exhibition.
GROUPS
In case of groups of more than 20 people, before purchasing the tickets, it is necessary to check if the train is available by contacting comitive@trenord.it.

Varese can be reached with the Milan Cadorna-Saronno-Varese FN, Milan Porta Garibaldi-Gallarate- Varese-Porto Ceresio lines and the TILO S40 Como San Giovanni-Mendrisio-Varese cross-border line.
