Violin Museum
Why visit the Museo del Violino di Cremona? You will be able to discover the works and specimens of the greatest masters of Cremonese violin making of the past - including Antonio Stradivari and Giuseppe Guarneri - and of the present day. But also to discover the secrets of making violins, violas, cellos and double basses; or watch at their work craftsmen capable of drawing from wood and paints prepared with secret alchemy a sound as sweet and melodious as the human voice.
The Museo del Violino can be reached by train, thanks to Trenord: the special Gite in Treno+Museum package allows you to travel to Cremona from any station in Lombardy and includes entry to the Museum dedicated to the world of violin making.
TICKET INCLUDES
- Return train travel with Trenord from any station in Lombardy to CREMONA;
- Admission to the Violin Museum.
Prices:
- Adult: €22.50
- Child [4-13 years old]: €18.40
Any extra events organised by the Museum are not included in the offer. Visitors can participate in them by purchasing an additional ticket.

USEFUL INFORMATION
PURCHASE
The ticket can only be purchased ONLINE and must be used on the day chosen at time of purchase. Ticket must be printed and does not require validation.
USE
The Trenord train ticket included in the “AL MUSEO DEL VIOLINO CON TRENORD” package may only be used for a return journey in second class on Trenord trains. The train ticket cannot be used on the Malpensa Express service or on services offered by other railway companies.
The special ticket can be used by a single person, adult or child, depending on the type of ticket purchased.
CHANGES
Once selected, the travel date on special tickets cannot be changed.
REFUNDS
The special ticket “Al Museo del Violino con Trenord” is non-refundable.
INSPECTIONS
The special ticket must be presented both to the Trenord staff in charge of inspections and at the entrance to the Museum, in its printed version.
GROUPS
In case of groups of more than 20 people, before purchasing the tickets, it is essential to check if the train is available by contacting comitive@trenord.it.
HOW TO GET THERE
- From any station in Lombardy travel to a station on the RE11 MILANO-CODOGNO-CREMONA-MANTOVA, take any train heading towards Mantova and get off at CREMONA (journey time: 68' from Milano Centrale).
- Alternatively, travel to a station on the R6 CREMONA-TREVIGLIO line and take any train towards CREMONA (journey time: 72' from Treviglio).
- Alternatively, travel to a station on the R5 CREMONA-BRESCIA line and take any train towards CREMONA (journey time: 58' from Brescia).
Once you arrive at the station, you can easily reach the Museo del Violino (located in Piazza Marconi) on foot (approximately 20 minutes).
