Brescia e Bergamo danno il benvenuto al nuovo Donizetti
New trains for Eastern Lombardy: with the entry into force of the summer timetable on Sunday 12 June, the latest generation Trenord trains have reached the Brescia and Bergamo areas.
Two new Donizetti have begun to circulate on the Bergamo-Brescia line, which connects the two Capitals of Culture 2023, and to make some first runs on the Brescia-Cremona. The runs with the new single-deck trains built by Alstom on the lines will increase during 2022, when the Donizettis will also reach the Cremona-Treviglio and Bergamo-Treviglio connections.
From 12 June the Caravaggio train, a high-capacity double-deck train, made its inaugural entry on the Milano Greco Pirelli-Treviglio-Brescia. With the new timetable, the journeys made by this model of train along the Milan-Brescia-Verona line have also increased, populating the lines directed towards the city of Brescia with new trains.
There are 57 new trains in circulation, on 14 lines. Where the Caravaggio and Donizettis circulate, performance and comfort for passengers improve.
