The summer timetable brings exciting new changes to the suburban lines in the metropolitan city of Milan

Trenord's suburban lines are introducing enhanced services to the Metropolitan City of Milan.

From Monday 10 June, new journeys and terminals will be available on two suburban lines: the S12 Melegnano-Milano Bovisa line will offer more trips and a longer route to the Cormano-Cusano Milanino station, while the S13 Pavia-Milan Bovisa line will reach Garbagnate Milanese. The upgrades to S12 and S13 were made possible by the activation of the third track between the Milano Affori and Cormano stations, which was carried out by the infrastructure manager FERROVIENORD.

 

With the arrival of summer, the S3 Milano Cadorna-Saronno and S4 Milano Cadorna-Camnago Lentate lines are also offering new trips in order to extend the night timetables.

 

 

The main developments on the Suburban lines are as follows:

 

S12 Melegnano-Milano Passante-Cormano Cusano Milanino

With the new timetable, passengers on the S12 line from Cormano-Cusano Milanino, Bruzzano Parco Nord and Affori FN can enjoy 14 extra direct connections with Milan.

  

The service on the line includes 20 daily trains (10 in each direction) from Monday to Friday between Melegnano and Cormano-Cusano Milanino, and two trains (one in each direction) between Cormano-Cusano Milanino and Milano Rogoredo.

S13 Pavia-Milano Passante-Garbagnate

The S13 line is extending to Garbagnate Milanese: from Monday to Friday, 48 daily trains are scheduled to travel to this station between 7.30 and 19.30, with intermediate stops at Quarto Oggiaro, Novate Milanese, Bollate Centro, Bollate Nord, Garbagnate Groane.

 

Thanks to the upgrade, the Garbagnate Milanese station is now accessible via over 180 trains per day.

S3 Milano Cadorna-Saronno

The night service on the line is being extended until 1.00. Four evening trains have been added, which cover the following routes every day:

• 801 Milano Cadorna 00.02-Saronno 00.37
• 803 Milano Cadorna 00.32-Saronno 1.07
• 892 Saronno 23.53-Milano Cadorna 00.28
• 802 Saronno 00.23-Milano Cadorna 00.58

 

The number of trips carried out by the new Caravaggio trains has increased from two a day to 26.

S4 Milano Cadorna-Camnago Lentate

The night service on the line is being extended with two additional trains, which run every day according to the following schedule:

• 701 Milano Cadorna 00.23-Camnago L. 1.05
• 792 Camnago L. 23.25-Milano Cadorna 00.07

 

The new Caravaggios are ready to circulate on the line, making 16 trips a day.
