Closing of the turnstiles at Milan Central station

Starting from 13 July 2024 RFI will start the first phase of activation of the access turnstiles to the platform area, in order to increase security and limit access to travelers only.< /p>

During this first phase, an entrance dedicated to holders of travel documents with no automatic reading and for travelers needing assistance will be provided at each gate.

On the date of activation (of the first phase) of the gates, it will be possible to access in the following ways:

Travel tickets already authorized to pass through the turnstiles:

• Subscriptions loaded onto the Io Viaggio or IVOLA card.

Travel tickets in the process of being authorized (need to pass on sight):

• Rechargeable tickets;
• Subscriptions on Phone Pass;
• Digital tickets purchased on Trenord.it and App;
• Tickets in Pay&Go format.

For these types of supports software development projects are already underway which will allow the automatic transition in the coming months.
