The "Sea Trains" are back, connecting Lombardy and Liguria on Saturdays and holidays

Five daily return trips linking Lombardy's main cities to the Ligurian Riviera

The "Sea Trains" are back: on Saturdays and holidays, you can travel between Lombardy and Liguria with five daily return trips.

From Milan and other towns and cities – including Bergamo, Treviglio, Como, Monza, Seregno, Gallarate, Busto Arsizio, Legnano, Pavia and Voghera – the "Sea Trains" take passengers to the beaches of the Riviera di Levante and Riviera di Ponente. For the 2025 season, the "Sea Trains" offer has been extended to Saronno, with a direct connection to Arma di Taggia.

Tickets for the "Sea Trains" can be purchased at Trenord ticket offices – including at the Milano Porta Garibaldi, Bergamo, Treviglio, Como San Giovanni, Monza, Saronno, Seregno, Gallarate, Busto Arsizio FS, Legnano, Pavia and Voghera departure stations – and at Trenitalia points of sale and self-service machines, as well as on the trenitalia.com website. No reservations.

Offered as part of a collaboration between Trenitalia and Trenord, the "Sea Trains" will run until Sunday 28 September. The regular offer includes a return trip on the same day on the following routes, among others:

• Saronno–Taggia Arma
• Como S. Giovanni–La Spezia Centrale
• Gallarate–Ventimiglia
• Bergamo–Ventimiglia
• Milano Porta Garibaldi–La Spezia Centrale

The service may be subject to changes in timetable and route as a result of the improvement and maintenance work that will affect the railway infrastructure this year. In particular, the "Sea Trains" offer will be required to change due to the extraordinary maintenance work on the Po Bridge, on the Voghera–Pavia route, which will take place between 1 June and 28 September.
