SUBURBAN AND URBAN ROUTES

suburban routes

urban routes

The S Lines connect the hinterland area of Milan and the city center, through the Passante and along the surface railway lines. In this way they not only simplify the journey of the many commuters who move to and from Milan, but thanks to the frequency of the trains, they make an additional subway service available to the city.

The train rides - every 30 minutes, all year round, seven days a week, from 6 to 24 - branch off from the center of Milan for a radius of over 30 km to Novara, Varese, Saronno, Como, Mariano Comense, Camnago-Lentate, Lecco, Seregno, Treviglio, Lodi, Albairate, Rho with many intermediate stops.

How can I access the Milan railway lines?

As with the Metro [M], many of the urban stations are accessed through turnstiles. All stations are equipped with luminous panels that inform about arrival and destination times as well as the punctuality of trains.

Wich tickets should I use on the urban railways routes in Milano?

Any TRENORD ticket, carnet or season ticket that has Milano as its destination (including Malpensa Express tickets with a dedicated fare) can be used within the entire Milano urban railway network and on all lines of the Passante Ferroviario.

All STIBM integrated tickets that include the Mi1-Mi3 zone are valid on urban railway routes and on all lines of the Passante Ferroviario.
